Can I lock parts of a design before regenerating?
Summary
Not at this time. When you regenerate or edit a design, the entire image is updated. You can guide changes by being specific about what you’d like to keep and what you’d like to adjust.
When This Applies
- You want to keep part of a design unchanged
- You only want to modify one section (text, image, layout)
- You’re refining an existing design
- You’re regenerating a version with small changes
How Regeneration Works
- When you regenerate or edit a design, Stampy creates a new version of the entire image.
- Individual elements cannot be locked or preserved independently.
- To guide the result, describe:
- What you want to keep
- What you want to change
- Stampy will generate a new version based on your updated instructions.
How to Get Better Results
-
Be specific about the elements you want to keep
(e.g., “keep the same layout, but update the message”)
-
Clearly describe what should change
(e.g., “make the tone more playful” or “adjust the color palette”)
-
Iterate gradually instead of making large changes all at once
What Happens Next
- A new version of your design will be generated
- You can continue refining your instructions
- You can regenerate as needed until the design feels right
Important Notes
- Regeneration updates the entire image
- Individual elements cannot be locked at this time
- Results may vary depending on how instructions are written
- Each regeneration uses Hearts
